Pensive Mutterings

Critique re: This  Guy Had The Guts To Put This On The Internet

This poor soul did nothing but re-write a posting that has been around the Net approximately 100 times – a pathetic plagiarism, lacking proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation that any average 5th grader would have superseded in pursuing excellence of proofreading. Additionally, he, as with so many others dispersing trash on the Net, fails to define, clarify, or elaborate upon pungent statements:

>I Am the Liberal-Progressives Worst Nightmare. I am an American.

Progressives’ (plural possessive noun)

>I am a Master Mason and believe in God.

What is a “Master Mason”? Are you ludicrously assuming that most Americans are knowledgeable of the term?
What god? (Yahweh? Allah? Christ? Adolph Hitler? Joseph Stalin? Pol Pot? David Koresh?) You have no other rationale to believe in a god (present, past, spiritual or physical) other than what your controversial Masonic outfit tells you to believe in? The Skyclad (totally nude – there must be nothing inhibiting the divine adoration process between the worshipper and the sky – hence, the name, “Skyclad”) Wicca religion also believes in gods. They’re called trees, leaves, grass, clouds, rivers, mountains, and, for some, telephone poles.) Whether a “Jesus,” “Allah,” etc. or a telephone pole, take your pick.

>I ride Harley Davidson Motorcycles…

I drive a ’94 Buick Park Avenue, which makes me what? (What’s your point? Needs defining.)

 >I believe the money I make belongs to me….

If you are a member of any “religious” cult or church (both terms are synonymous), you do not, I suspect, “tithe” to it. Your 10% (less or more, depending on your mood, which in turn depends on whether your Significant Other allowed you to substitute her body for your alternate Harley-Davidson-Viagra-seat-motor between your legs) goes into your own ego-maniacal pockets. You also do not contribute at any time to the Salvation Army, Red Cross, United Way, etc. – all Socialistic programs that are specifically geared to help those who, through no fault of their own, are not as fortunate as you. Your conclusion must be, therefore: Let the starving remain starving; let the Homeless remain Homeless; let the burned-out families remain burned-out.

 >I'm in touch with my feelings and I like it that way!

What feelings? Needs defining. (Sounds to me like you’re a zombie.)

>I think owning a gun doesn't make you a killer, it makes you a smart American.

1-…killer;(semicolon) it makes….  OR: …killer.(period). Slaughtering the English language with run-on sentences by inserting a comma between two complete thoughts is anathema to any minimally educated American.

2-One example, per Oct. 11, 2013, via Tampa Tribune, Tampa, FL:

BRANDON, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say two women were fatally shot inside a townhome that was later set on fire, apparently in an effort to cover up the crime.

The article fails to inform readers of what really happened: An unknown cloud appeared in the room and 2 bullets, by unexplainable means and with lightning speed, exited the cloud and entered the bodies of the two victims. The Brandon Police are subsequently searching for the culprit-cloud.

>I think being a minority does not make you noble or victimized, and does not entitle you to anything. Get over it!

Get over what? No one ever said it did. What an infinite number of Americans truthfully state is: If the government can annually send billions of aid-dollars to third-world countries and to all non-U.S.-catastrophically-hit (via tornadoes, tsunamis, hurricanes, etc.) cities and nations, then it can take care of its own U.S. citizens who are, through no fault of their own, unemployed, starving, and homeless. Yes, it’s called Socialism. It’s also called Humanism.

>I believe everyone has a right to pray to his or her God when and where they want to.

1-…where he/she wants to. (The pronominal antecedent “everyone” is singular, not plural. Therefore, the reference of “they” must also be singular, not plural – a basic 5th-grade grammar rule.)

2-What god? (S)he doesn’t exist except in the self-created emotions and warped psyche of the believer, usually due to childhood brainwashing. Once such vacuous emotions and warped psyches are erased and any existential, empirical proof of any such god is produced at any time, then let such a belief reign.
Additionally, the Buick is not the best car on the road, regardless of my belief, simply because it says so in some “spiritual” book (euphemistically labeled for major cults as “The Bible,” “Koran,” etc.) called the manual, which lies in its termite-haven (not heaven), called the glove compartment. If the Buick were to be the “best car on the road,” then I must, as a rational being, justify its numerous repair bills over the years, regardless of its solidified-façade-remaining existence of 200-K+ miles. (Today, Adolph Hitler remains a god to the Neo-Nazis; to the Mormons, Joseph Mormon died a “martyr’s” death at the hands of “infidels.”)

>My heroes are John Wayne, Babe Ruth, Roy Rogers, and Willie G. Davidson that makes the awesome Harley Davidson Motorcycles.

Wayne, Ruth, and Rogers made the Harley-Davidson motorcycle? (Surely, you meant: …Davidson, the last of whom makes….)

>I don't hate the rich. I don't pity the poor.

Other than your whole life, what is your problem? Define or explain it (if possible).

 >I know wrestling is fake and I don't waste my time watching or arguing about it.

Needs explaining. What does this useless statement have to do with you being a “patriotic” American?

>I've never owned a slave….

Maybe not, but your great-grandparents may have. Because of that, we Americans have every right to hold you generational-responsible just as we have every right to hold the present generation of German citizenry, whose previous generations “turned the other way” and/or kept silent as millions of their fellow-German citizens, were tortured and gassed via their god’s (Adolph Hitler) excuses, “Opponents of the state” or “Not of the Aryan race.”

 >I want to know exactly where the churches are that Reverend Jesse Jackson and Reverend Al Sharpton preach, where they get their money, and why they are always part of the problem and never the solution. Can I get an AMEN on that one?

No, you can’t. An “Amen” smacks of a Christian idolatrous, vacuous affirmation. I also find it interesting that you yourself fail to give your name, home/business address and your e-mail address any place in this useless tirade of yours. All you give is a photo of your uncomely face at the beginning – as if that is supposed to increase our support of your tenets?

>And, no, I don't mind having my face shown on my drivers license.

1-…driver’s (singular possessive noun!)

2-What does this have to do with you being an American? Stay on the topic!

 >And I'm proud that 'God' is written on my money.

Which makes it what? More valuable? Try telling that to your Landlord when you pay him only half of the contract’s amount for your mobile home rental or when you speed off after paying the cashier only half the amount of the gas you pump into your bulging-testosterone Harley.

>I believe that it doesn't take a village to raise a child, it takes two parents.

1-Again, a semicolon or period is required after child.

2-A village? Where did that come from?

Two parents? Tell that to the thousands of American single mothers struggling emotionally and financially to raise their children – mostly due to deadbeat Dads, which our American “Justice System” does little/nothing about. However, probably due to the fact that this doesn’t involve you, you remain complacent and “turn the other way,” but hasten to be the first one in line to moan, whine, and complain about taxes being deducted from your paycheck – taxes that support our “socialistic” programs such as WIC, Cash Assistance, Food Stamps, etc.

>I believe 'illegal' is illegal no matter what the lawyers think.

That’s comical. Most of America’s legislators, whether state or national, are ex-lawyers. As with most electrical, plumbing and construction inspectors, they are now inspectors because they failed at their previous professions.

Satis dicitur. (Enough said.)
